Qualcomm’s Quick Charge 3.0 technology is a charging protocol designed by Qualcomm, it offers stepless multi-voltage charging from 3.7V to 20V; your device can receive the perfect voltage and current optimized to its exact charging state. Your device needs to support Quick Charge to receive any benefit. It has revolutionalised charging speeds for compatible smartphones and tablets. As more and more latest smartphones and power banks become QC 3.0 compatible, users can expect to top-up their devices’ batteries from zero to 80%  in as little as 30-35 minutes.

Some of the latest smartphones supporting Quick charge Galaxy S9, S8, S7, Note 8, S6, and S6 Edge, Edge Plus, and Note 5, LG V30, LG V20, G6, G5,  ZTE Axon M, Axon & Max, Blade Z Max, Moto Z2, Z, G4, G5, HTC U11 series, HTC 10, One A9, Sony XZ, XZ1, and Nokia 8 etc.5b86807ced041.png

It’s all about how the power is delivered to your device and less about the actual strength of the power; 2.0 is stepped and violent, 3.0 is natural and smooth.

1.QC 2.0 multivoltage is fixed, 5, 9, 12 and 20V. This fixed voltage means the charging is done in voltage stages.

2.QC 3.0 can change exact voltage and can be anywhere between 3.7 and 20v, the charging is variable and this increases the overall efficiency of the charge.

In the graph above (assuming charging current is kept identical); you can see the differences in the three charging technologies voltage output.

1.The advantage of QC 3.0 is that it can provide optimal voltage at the precise need of the battery, so during charging you are always at the fastest charging voltage.

2.QC 2.0 jumps in stages, less efficient but still enhances speed.

3.Standard fast charge stays at 5V and provides a slower charge.

This is the main difference of QC3.0 Or simply.

QC3.0 is Smarter: The variable voltages delivers faster charge with the same power.

When compared to Quick Charge 2.0; the power output is only slightly more, however, the efficiency it delivers is increased so you experience a faster charge.
